The past couple of days have been tough for us. We are first time parents, and that became so obvious recently. Moosh became very sick yesterday. He could not keep food down and got very dehydrated. We felt so helpless. We got some help from the nurse. The nannies have been great. Today, we found out that they started him on an antibiotic. He is really looking even worse today. We held him the whole afternoon. He has a fever and is again very dehydrated. The good news is that he kept some formula and a little water down, so we think he is recovering.
We are grateful that we have been learning and have this time to take baby steps in parenting. Even when it is not all smiles, it has been so very good to be here with him.

I just checked your blog for the first time in a while. Ukraine trip and all. Anyways so glad to hear everything is going well. We will pray for healing. God is good. Can't wait to see you guys in early January. God bless and stay safe and enjoy this time.
I can't believe that you get to be in Ethiopia for 6+ weeks. So great that you are able to stay with Moosh!
Today I had lunch with...KARA POWELL and saw Brad Griffin too. I had NO IDEA that you knew them. They've been a big part of my life for the past few years! I'm on the Fuller Youth Institute Advisory Council, so I get the privilege of connecting with them both on a regular basis. I had NO IDEA that you knew them. So cool how our worlds are colliding all over the place!
Hey!! Checking in! So sorry to hear he has been sick--so it wasn't a common cold after all. ; ) Glad he is being treated and hope he is feeling better.
